Utility territory matters here more than most owners expect: Eversource, United Illuminating, Norwich Public Utilities each have their own disconnect and metering process, and the sequence of who de-energizes what is usually the longest lead item on the schedule.

Freight is the other half. We route Connecticut work along I-95, I-91, I-84 and Route 8, which is what keeps trailer and crew cost predictable on a quote instead of padded.

Connecticut is a small state with a disproportionate amount of heavy electrical infrastructure, most of it installed for industries that have since moved on. The brass and metalworking corridor along Route 8 from Bridgeport through Waterbury and Torrington left switchgear, bus systems and transformers in buildings now being converted or demolished. Hartford insurance and office towers, the aerospace and precision manufacturing cluster around East Hartford and the Farmington Valley, the submarine and defence work at Groton, and the Yale and hospital complexes in New Haven all replace essential-power systems on a documented schedule, which helps resale value considerably. Eversource and United Illuminating both run dense urban networks where clearance coordination, not distance, is the scheduling constraint. Nothing in this state is more than a two-hour drive from our route.

Do you actually buy electrical equipment in Connecticut, or just broker it?
